MeNami - Japanese Udon Noodles

Out of all 3 udons, the salmon creamy udon was definitely my favourite. It had somewhat of an Italian taste (kind of like alfredo pasta) with a pretty flavourful salmon.

Good food and even better company - This place specializes in Japanese udon. However, be warned that it is not Japanese owned. The restaurant is Korean owned but with a Japanese flare - so I guess you can think of it as being fusion.

Kiu Japanese

I went to Kiu with a friend for lunch and was surprised that there were 2 long tables already reserved. The restaurant is located at the relatively new Cineplex theatre in Markham - located across from the Goodlife Fitness Center. I must say, the interior was on point though.

The menu does state that the fish is flown in from the Fish Market from Japan twice weekly (or could have been 3 times), but I wasn't about to trust it. Instead I settled for a ramen.

Moji Japanese Eatery

This was another random find with a friend after a day of shopping. We had no idea where to go and just stumbled across this restaurant (or eatery). Fortunately, it was better than expected. The decor was super on point! It's a little cafe with mismatch furniture and lighting. There are also other desserts that you can order that we didn't get to try this time.

Makkal Chon

As the Canadian weather becomes more and more unpredictable...the sleet/snow/rain definitely called for some comfort food. It was much needed since I had a long week, and an even longer weekend. However, to distract myself from the cold weather, my friend and I decided to try this Korean restaurant in Scarborough. At 12 pm, there weren't a lot of people but by 1 pm...you best believe you'd be waiting for a spot.
